Disable Netscape 6/7 Activation We understand that there are need to disable Netscape's registration (activation), before you do some, Netscape Champion Jay Garcia asked people to register Netscape to support Netscape Communications. There are three methods that will disable the Activation (registration) process: Solution One: Download streamline series of Netscape 6 and 7. Activations are disabled in all Netscape 6 or 7 streamline (with Mail/News) and Navigator 7.xx stand-alone. > more information about Netscape streamline series. Solution Two: Delete or rename the file activation.dll found in: (NS6) C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape 6\components OR (NS7) C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\components Solution Three: Go to C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape 6\defaults\pref folder. Open the all-ns.js with text editor and find the following entry: pref("browser.registration.enable", true); change to false, as shown below: pref("browser.registration.enable", false); (based on: Ramona's Disable Activation)
